Temple & Priesthood Preparation Printable Kit

I love this change, but it means that I needed to update my Priesthood Preview Kit. And this new, bright, and updated kit is here and ready for you!

This Temple & Priesthood Preparation kit is packed with everything you need for your primary event: decor, gifts, invitations, and even blank programs! And you can use it year after year. Don’t we just love it when practicality, functionality, and cuteness are combined?! Why, yes. Yes, we do.

This kit has an overall theme of going forth and serving others.

As I was reading all the material for the Temple & Priesthood Preparation event, I realized again that everything we do in the church is about helping others, in one form or other. Our covenants, the priesthood, even the work done in temples, all help us become a disciple of Christ by serving and loving as he did.

So this kit has bright (gender-neutral) colors, perfect for both boys and girls, and focuses on the theme of serving others.

Let’s start with the most important thing: the invitations.

You gotta let people know about the Temple & Priesthood Preparation event. This kit has three invitations. One has lines, and you can just write in the details if you don’t have a program such as Photoshop Elements, Canva, etc. The other two have blank spaces where you can type or write your info. These come in jpg and pdf format, so you can easily pull these invitations into editing programs in order to add your info.

And there are three matching programs as well. Again, one with lines, that you can write in your details, and two blank ones that you can type in your info.

And then there’s the room decor.

Maybe you want to keep it simple. Just put a banner behind the main table, and put the two 8×10 printables on the food table. That’s easy and cute.

But if you want to go all out, then this kit has everything you need!

In addition to the banner and two 8×10 printables, but you’ve also got water bottle labels, cupcake toppers, a mini banner (perfect to put on a cake, as pictured here), napkin rings, and straw flags!

Now let’s talk about gift ideas.

Do you need to give the kids a gift that night? NO. Certainly not.

But I am the kind of person who loves to give gifts. Just a little something so the kiddos know I love them and I recognize that turning 12 is a big deal.

My husband specifically asked me to make something that listed the Aaronic priesthood duties on it. He’s been serving in the Young Men program, and he said that they talked about priesthood duties often, and of course this is all new to the boys. So he suggested that giving the boys something to reference would be helpful.

This bookmark offers a summary of the duties of a priest, teacher, and deacon.

The other bookmark is perfect for both boys and girls. It’s a simple reminder that a temple is a special place where they will get to serve their ancestors and those who have come before them.
