I can hardly believe it is December already. I mean, where has the year gone? And the scary thing is that I know December is going to fly by, and then BAM! We will be talking about Valentine’s Day.
So let’s enjoy December while we can, right? That’s what I keep telling myself.
December’s visiting teaching message is titled, “Family Joy Is Found in Righteousness.” While I was reading this message, the word “joy” really stuck out to me. In fact, I counted the words “joy” and “happiness” eight times in this short message. Since it’s nearly Christmas, I thought it would be fun to make a printable that reflected both the season and the message.
My favorite quote from this message comes from Elder Scott. He talks about the fact that sometimes our family members and loved ones can stray from righteous principles, but he reminds us that “there will be plenty of challenges or heartaches, but even in the midst of turmoil, we can enjoy inner peace and profound happiness.”
I hope that we can use this printable to remember that we are here to experience joy. Even amidst the pain, grief, loss, and sorrow, because of our Savior, joy is possible. ♥
