I wanted to share a really fun activity that we did as a family last year on Valentine’s Day.
My husband and I were looking for a way for our girls express more love to each other. So I sat at my computer and made these cards that say “I love you,” and then printed enough so that each of us would be able to write a personal note to every other member of the family. (For our family of five, that meant printing a total of 20 cards.)
We pulled out the gel pens, and we wrote what we loved and admired about each other on the back of the cards.

It was really fun to see my girls express gratitude to each other but the best part was watching them read the notes they received!
I kept the notes that I received from each of them, and I encouraged them to do the same. That way they could go back and read about how loved they are when they are feeling discouraged.
