Last week, a newly called seminary teacher reached out to me and asked if I had any binder covers for seminary. I am a HUGE fan of seminary teachers (what they do is so amazing and so selfless!) so I got right to work creating some Seminary Book of Mormon binder covers. But once my creative juices started flowing, I wanted to create more. I thought about what I would want as a seminary teacher, and the Seminary Book of Mormon Printable Kit was born!
My favorite part of this kit are the candy bar tags.
I love chocolate and I loved it just as much as a teenager as I do now. Sometimes kids need a little encouragement and candy is inexpensive and highly motivating for most teens. And as a seminary teacher, you want your kids to know that you love and appreciate them. What better way to show your love than with a little treat that the kids will love?
These candy tags are great for birthday and Christmas presents. They are a nice reward when the kids have reached milestones, like finishing the Isaiah chapters (I need chocolate after those!) or learning their scripture mastery.
This kit contains 8 different tags that can be used over and over again.
Learning scripture mastery verses can be tricky for some kids.
I have always been terrible at memorization. When I was in marching band, I just couldn’t seem to memorize my songs so I just pretended to play my clarinet as I marched the field. It’s embarrassing to admit but true. So yeah, memorizing 25 verses was really hard for me. And it may be hard for some of your kids too.
My hope is that this Scripture Mastery Bingo game can help! You, or another student, calls out the verse and the students see if they know what that verse is about. If they don’t, then they can look it up and learn that way.
This game is also great for those Fridays when the kids want a party or break. The students still learn while having fun!
And last but not least, there are two bookmarks.
One bookmark features a quote from President Packer. He said, “Life moves all too fast. When you feel weak, discouraged, depressed, or afraid, open the Book of Mormon and read.”
So when I was looking for a motivation quote, this one stuck with me. It’s easy to be afraid and I think teenagers are especially vulnerable. The world is crazy and they are supposed to figure out college, missions, and dating. This bookmark will remind them that peace comes from reading the Book of Mormon.
This bookmark, combined with their favorite candy and the treat tag that says, “You’re awesome,” would make a great little birthday present for your students this year!
The second bookmark is all about recording and reading the Book of Mormon. You can print this off and give it to your kids at the beginning of the year and they can see their progress as time goes by.
I hope this Seminary Book of Mormon Printable Kit will help you show love and have fun with your kids this year!
