Book of Mormon Seminary Binder Covers

Let’s talk about seminary teachers.

They are awesome. And usually underappreciated by their students.

I speak from experience as an early-morning seminary graduate. Every school morning for four years, I woke up between 4:40 and 5:30 am to go to seminary. I thought it was so hard. And it was. But as a typical self-absorbed teenager, I didn’t understand the sacrifices that my teachers were making for me and my classmates. My teachers got up earlier than I did to take a shower and get in a church dress or suit. They arrived at an empty, dark, and cold church building. Sometimes the parking lot and steps were still covered in snow and ice. They struggled through teaching a bunch of sleepy teenagers who often fell asleep on their desks. And when our daily hour of seminary was done, my seminary teachers weren’t done. They still had to prepare for 1-3 hours for the next day’s lesson.

Seriously, seminary teachers are my heroes.

A few days ago a seminary teacher reached out to me and asked if I had any binder covers for seminary. My first thought was “no, but I totally should!” Because I will gladly do anything I can to help seminary teachers. What they do is so amazing and impactful.

I don’t remember the names or faces of most of my high school teachers. But I remember ALL of my seminary teachers.

Because I felt the Spirit with them, I felt a bond with them that I still remember today. And what they taught stayed with me on my mission and still helps me to this day. While I can’t say that I have all my scripture mastery still memorized, the doctrines and messages they taught are a huge part of who I am today.

And it’s because seminary teachers were willing to sacrifice so much to help me and a dozen other teenagers in our town learn the gospel.

So I hope that these Book of Mormon seminary binder covers can help all you awesome seminary teachers out there.

The front binder cover has a quote from President Monson from the April 2017 General Conference. The back cover features this year’s scripture mastery verses and snippets.
