April 2018 General Conference Quote Printables

The April 2018 LDS General Conference quote printables are here! I hope you can use these free LDS printables as handouts, gifts, home decor, and in your ministering efforts.

I chose 6 quotes that really touched me, and made them into printables. Each printable comes in two sizes, 8×10 & 4×6, and come in both jpg and pdf format.

I am so grateful that I get to share these inspirational printables with you! I hope that you also feel inspired to share them. I hope that when you read them, you realize that you are not alone. That you are doing great. The Lord loves you, and is helping you.

I love this quote from Elder Brian K. Taylor:

“In stressful moments—perhaps when you are chasing little ones and a charred smell from the kitchen informs you that your lovingly prepared dinner is now a burnt offering—know that God sanctifies your most difficult days. “Fear thou not; for I am with thee,” He peacefully reassures.”

There are days when I wonder why God ever let me be a mother. I wonder how I can fail so miserably at the most important job in the world: being a good mother. When I yell and the kids go to bed upset, or when they fight all day and I just want peace, this quote is the one I will read.

Then, like you, I get up and try again. Because that’s what we do, right? We have a good cry, eat some dark chocolate (or milk chocolate, I won’t judge), we pray for strength, and move forward. Because we know that our efforts are not in vain, and that God just wants us to keep trying.

God is helping us on the days when there is “love at home,” and on the days when there is chaos everywhere.

Isn’t President Nelson such a sweetie? His smile is so kind and gentle. This quote from our new prophet on revelation really struck a cord with me:

“The privilege of receiving revelation is one of the greatest gifts of God to His children.”

It’s easy to go about our daily lives, not really thinking about revelation, or taking it for granted. I find myself in the mindset of trying to fix my own problems, and I often forget to ask Heavenly Father if I am on the right track, or if I need to be doing something differently.

I love that our church is constantly being guided by revelation. It’s amazing at how quickly programs and policies are changing, and its all based on revelation.

So now I am determined. Next time I ask for a friend’s help or opinion, I am going to ask the Lord for His help and opinion too. I don’t want this precious gift of revelation to go to waste.

Wasn’t it fun to hear Sister Reyna I. Aburto talk about the monarch butterflies? I had no idea that monarch butterflies were so amazing.

Her talk was about unity. About how we all need each other, and we can each help each other. Her quote sums it up so nicely:

“Every one of our paths is different, yet we walk them together. Our path is not about what we have done or where we have been; it is about where we are going and what we are becoming, in unity. “

Elder Uchtdorf’s Easter talk was one of my favorites. His words help me remember how personal the Savior’s Atonement was, and how personal our relationship with the Savior can be.

I really, really, really wanted to get this whole quote on a printable because I felt every word:

“Those who find a way to truly behold the Man find the doorway to life’s greatest joys and the balm to life’s most demanding despairs.

So, when you are encompassed by sorrows and grief, behold the Man.

When you feel lost or forgotten, behold the Man.

When you are despairing, deserted, doubting, damaged, or defeated, behold the Man.

He will comfort you.

He will heal you and give meaning to your journey. He will pour out His Spirit and fill your heart with exceeding joy.

He gives “power to the faint; and to them that have no might he increaseth strength.”

Isn’t that beautiful? So this printable will go up in our home to remind us that we are never alone. We know where to find peace and comfort.

The older I get, the more I see how important the little things are. They can be life changing! Things that seem so easy and simple, like reading scriptures every day or praying more often, can have a huge impact!

This printable was inspired by the talk “Small & Simple Things,” by President Dallin H. Oaks.

While I was listening to Elder Robbins talk about his college professor who let his students re-take their exams as many times as they wanted, I couldn’t help but wish I had had such a professor in my college days.

And I really appreciated his reminder that the Lord gives us so many chances! Because I really want and need all those second chances!

“No one is more on our side than the Savior. He allows us to take and keep retaking His exams.”
