Life can seem so challenging. Last week after watching the news, I jokingly asked my husband, “Are you sure we signed up for this?” I mean, did we really shout for joy in the preexistence when we heard the Plan of Salvation?
Well, yes. I believe we did.
But that’s not to say that life is not tough. We each go through our own painful heartaches and losses. And there’s a saying that goes something like, “life is tough but you are tougher.”
But sometimes we don’t feel tough. Or resilient. Or joyful.
In those times, we need some hope. We need to know that we are okay and love-able, even with all our fears and doubts. That things will work out.
That’s one reason General Conference is so awesome. We get to hear inspired messages from living prophets and leaders that give us hope, encouragement, and perspective.
